COMBUSTION TURBINES IN GENERAL

One of the ways of how to increase the conversion efficiency of energy contained in a specific fuel is the construction of combined power energy entities – steam/gas circuits with steam and combustion turbines. Our company is prepared to supply any basic components of a steam/gas cycle to the client, such as the:
- combustion turbines using high-temperature combustion for direct conversion of energy contained in the fuel into mechanical energy, and serving as a source of high-temperature flue gases to be used for steam generation in a steam boiler
- flue gas steam boilers using energy contained in flue gases released from combustion turbines and used for steam generation that, subsequently, is used by another connected steam turbine
- steam turbines powered by flue gas boilers and making the turbines possible to use energy contained in steam within temperature range as low as the condensing temperature limit.
COMBUSTION TURBINE MODIFICATIONS
Generally, the operation of steam turbines has a detrimental effect on the environment, in particular through the leakage of oil vapours into the atmosphere (oil greasing and regulation systems), release of gas into the atmosphere during the start-up stage (use of gas expansion turbines), and the leak of nitrogen oxides and carbon generated by fuel combustion. Another adverse effect on the environment is the propagation of noise into the surroundings (hygiene conditions for the population).
TENERGO seeks to eliminate these two general drawbacks by:
reducing the emissions of harmful substances and increasing the operational efficiency using more efficient regeneration exchangers.
The issue of noise propagation is encountered by the installation of high performance noise dampers into the draught and exhaust ducts of the machine sets.
