GENERAL INFORMATION
TENERGO Brno, a.s., serves as the operator of a heat generation system in the Snina town (Slovakia). During the course of refurbishing more than 18 km of insulated conduits were laid and approx. 160 house heat exchanger stations were installed. The whole system is monitored and controlled from a central control room. Larger part of the heat generated is purchased on the basis of a long-term contract from a source installed at the neighbouring industrial premises. The remaining part of heat is being produced in three gas fired boiler houses. One of them passed a process of modification during the 2006 period and contains actually atechnology for biomass combustion – red beech wood chips (more about the biomass and video Snina at...).

In April 2008, at the occasion of the RACIOENERGIA Fair (18th anniversary of a fair intent on energy utilization in Bratislava region) TENERGO has been awarded with a prestigious price for the best energy project 2008.
